Visakha bucha

Visakha Bucha Day is one of the most important days in Buddhism because of three important incidents in the life of The Buddha, i.e. the birth, the enlightenment and the passing away, miraculously fall on the same month and date, the Vesak full moon day. Each year on the 4th of June, Buddhists throughout the world gather together to perform the worship to recollect the wisdom, purity and compassion of the Buddha.  The reclining Buddha -truly speaking an amazing master piece- was lent by the Government of Sri Lanka and was displayed in sanamluang.   In the picture, parts of the  Grand Palace appears as background.
The float containing several Buddhas image were decorated with lot of  fresh flowers.
People take off their shoes to come into the room where was put Buddha's images and sacred relics.
The float containing Buddha's image depicts parts of Buddha's life such as: the moment when He left his father's palace or the moment when He was about to die from starvation.

Buddhists  make merit by walking barefood aroud the worshipping of Buddha relics.  This activity is called "Triple Circumambulation".  It means walking around until people make 3 rounds to remember Buddha, Buddha's instructions (Dharmma), and Buddhist monks.

Buddhist people pray in special rooms which were set up at Sanamluang
A Buddhis monk with his novices visits Sanamluang.  Behind them, people in a long cue wait their turn to pray in front of some Buddha's images located in throughout this area.
